Truthfully when I took this class, I was super excited because I really wanted to understand how Media affected everything in the world. There was interesting things that I learned from a standpoint of PR and then there was also new things that I learned about when it comes to reporters finding out if their sources are true. I don't think that my new understanding has helped me change my view of mass media. Rather the opposite where it has strengthened my views about how news and media is presented.
During class, it was actually really interesting learning about the First Amendment because while I knew, all about the first amendment, the class brought new light when you focus on it from a journalistic point of view. By focusing on the first amendment from a journalistic point of view, I realized how the amendment really protects groups, and different organizations that promote news.

Propaganda in Advertising/PR 8
One of the first ads that I found used a well known slogan for a milk ad. Since I was young milk has used the slogan "Got Milk?" who is often endorsed by some celebrity who just finished taking a sip of the milk.
Another ad that got super popular a couple of years ago was the subway eat fit ads. A person named Jared who was very obese tried the subway diet and soon lost so much weight that he became the spokes person as a testimonial for Subway.
The final ad that I found was an ad from a very long time ago. The "We Can Do It!" ad used a direct order to try and motivate the women of the world to be better then what people believe they could do in that time period.

Internet 7
Personally, I have used the internet for many different subjects that range from shopping at a card site called Cool Stuff Inc and Amazon to using the web for gaming with sites such as Steam. I have also used the internet to read different types of Manga as well. Living in a technological society, there are many of my friends that use the internet for similar subject matter as I do. In today's society, even if the population denies the addiction most people are addicted to using the internet in some way, shape or form. People go on websites such as Facebook for the sole purpose of finding out what everyone else is doing and wasting time as well. Some go on sites such as Amazon purely to spend money because they are addicted to online shopping even though they do not have to buy the item in question. For one of my friends, online shopping has affected them so much that they purchase many different types of things on sites such as Old Navy and Banana Republic, just to return the items later on.
